Psychics Philosophy On Community
Community a sense of belonging a group of like minded individuals with similar cultures belief systems mores and folkways. Community ties us together and is an essential component of the lives of even the most primitive primates. Integral to establishing our identity in essence community helps define who we are as individuals.
Without the hierarchal social structure that community affords us existence for most would be unimaginable. Deriving meaning and purpose from the expected behavior patterns and actions dictated by our societal laws allows us to put aside the anxiety of having to make choices and allows us to function.
Freedom perpetuates anxiety by forcing us to make choices we would rather delegate to others than make for ourselves. Freedom is a grand utopian concept but does not really exist as laws are made for the law makers to mitigate or remove personal freedom. Freedom ultimately is limited to the dictated societal laws, mores, and folkways of a community.
However, without societal law ultimately anarchy would arise and chaos, turmoil, senseless violence, and oppression would abound. Therefore, community is a necessary human construct that although limits personal freedoms allows us to function as social units capable of grand collaborative efforts. Ultimately these efforts improve the quality of human existence, preventing stagnation, stimulating progress, and propelling our technocratic society into the future.
